Notes

1974 Fandango 32, DKK 145,000

The Fandango 32 is an exciting chapter in the history of Danish boatbuilding. The model was developed and built in a small series by a group of dedicated and experienced sailors and boatbuilders associated with the Sundby Sailing Club in the early 1970s. The result was a sturdy and distinctive fiberglass boat, where fine craftsmanship, practicality, and excellent sailing characteristics took center stage. Often, the hull was cast, after which the individual buyer handled the outfitting themselves.

At approximately 9.5 meters, this model is a classic cruiser of a size that is easy to handle, yet offers ample space for both longer vacations and relaxing weekend sailing. The spacious cockpit, traditional interior, and solid construction make the Fandango 32 an attractive option for sailors seeking a classic boat with more character than many mass-produced alternatives.

On offer here is the 1974 Fandango 32 “HEBE,” which has undergone a very extensive renovation and upgrade over the years leading up to 2024.

Today, “HEBE” stands as a exceptionally well-equipped vessel that simply needs a general refresh. Among the many upgrades are a new non-slip deck, new teak in the cockpit, a new electrical system and lighting, newer sails, instruments, comfort features, and deck equipment.

The boat has been bottom-painted, launched, and is essentially ready to sail. It is being sold solely because the current owner has come to realize that it is not being used as much as desired.

Special equipment and upgrades:
  • BUKH DV24 ME diesel engine from 1995
  • Engine overhauled in 2012, according to the previous owner
  • Only approximately 1,038 recorded engine hours
  • Flexofold 3-blade folding propeller
  • Elvstrøm mainsail with lazy jack system
  • Elvstrøm genoa
  • Spinnaker pole
  • Replaced non-slip deck
  • Newer teak decking in the cockpit
  • Two large glass hatches on the foredeck, providing excellent natural light
  • New electrical system and new lighting
  • New instruments and chartplotter
  • AIS and VHF radio
  • Simrad TP32 autopilot
  • Apple iPad Air with 4G, fixed mount, and charging at the chart table
  • Newer Harken halyard system
  • Two newer Harken winches and four additional winches
  • Newer sheet tracks on deck
  • Newer Webasto heater
  • Newer stove with oven
  • Newer refrigerator with freezer
  • Electric toilet with septic tank
  • CTEK Marine battery charger
  • Audio system with wireless streaming capability
  • USB charging ports located in several places on board
  • Newer Nespresso coffee machine included
  • Sprayhood and cockpit tent
  • Windbreakers for the cockpit
  • Cockpit table
  • Anchor with anchor line and lead weight
  • Bow ladder and swim ladder
  • Winter storage stand and GP Cover winter tent
  • Mooring lines, fenders, and other standard boat equipment
  • Various new spare parts, including a fuel filter and V-belt
  • Comprehensive documentation

HEBE is an obvious choice for the sailor looking for a Danish sailboat with character, extensive equipment, and a wide range of upgrades already completed. Here you get a boat that has been bottom-painted, launched, and—with a general refresh—is ready to be put into service—without first having to undergo a major modernization.
