The boat was built in 1986 for Philippe Jeantot for the 1986–87 BOC Single-handed Round the World Race and was the winner of that event (formerly “Credit Agricole III”). In 1992, it was purchased by Mark Gatehouse, who prepared the boat for the 1994–95 BOC.
Prior to the start of this race, the boat underwent a complete overhaul.
During the 1994–95 season, the yacht finished in second place in the BOC Transatlantic Challenge, a BOC feeder race from Falmouth (UK) to Charleston (USA/SC).

The boat was last overhauled in 2000.

The vessel is currently at a shipyard in Wilhelmshaven and needs to be overhauled.
