Bemerkung des Eigners:
Paikea ist eine sehr lebendige Yacht zu segeln da schon kleine Windböen auf die Yacht
wirken.
Sie zu segeln ähnelt mehr einer Jolle als einer Yacht dieser Größe. Im Pazifik habe ich
Spitzengeschwindigkeiten beim Heruntergleiten der Welle von 24kn erreicht.
Im Mittelmeer habe ich maximal 17 kn erreicht.
Bei der Planung mit Luca Brenta und Lorenzo Argento habe ich großen Wert auf einfaches
Handling, hohe Performance unter Segeln und ein Minimum an Bequemlichkeiten gelegt.
Eine der Stärken von Paikea ist der Carbon Mast, an dem die Spreaders mit dem Mast ein
Teil bilden. Dies hat zur Folge ein sehr niedriges Gewicht und eine enorme Stabilität, dazu
einen niedrigen Schwerpunkt, d .h. mehr Fahrt.
