Notes

1992 Beneteau First 45F5, EUR 94,500

Beneteau First 45f5, 1992 — the rare Owner's Version, deep keel, new standing rigging 2026. EU VAT paid. Lying in Syros, Greece.

Bruce Farr drew the hull. Pininfarina did the interior. Yes, the Ferrari one. That much is true of every 45f5. Here is what is true of this one.

The standing rigging was replaced in full in 2026. Not inspected, not partly renewed, fully replaced, with invoices. On a boat of this age that is the largest bill a new owner would otherwise inherit, and it is already paid.

She is the three-cabin Owner's Version, not the four-cabin charter layout most of these became, with the deep keel. Which makes her the boat Farr actually intended: quick, close-winded, and genuinely rewarding to sail rather than merely to own. There are rarely more than ten of these on the world market, and very few in this configuration.

The deck is GRP, not teak. So none of the slow, five-figure decay that quietly afflicts almost every surviving example of this vintage. The cockpit is teak, where teak is a pleasure rather than a liability.

Recently: all mattresses and cushions are brand new. New batteries. Windlass and headsail furling drum just serviced. Perkins M50, 2,850 hours, recently serviced, fuel system cleaned and treated with new filters throughout. Generator, inverter, radar, bimini and sprayhood in good order, tender and outboard included. Reasonable quotes from the shipyard for new anti-fouling are also available on request.

EU VAT paid and documented. A full description and more Photos available on request. Full survey from 2025 available free to serious enquirers. I would rather you read it than guess.

She is lying ashore on dry-stand in Ermoupolis, Syros, which is excellent for a survey: keel, rudder and underbody all open to inspection.

Feel free to contact if you have any questions.
