After an unforgettable year of living aboard Beetlejuice and sailing through five countries, everyday life is calling us back ashore.

We have invested a great deal of time, money, and care into this boat. She is ready to set sail immediately—whether you're planning to live aboard full-time or enjoy unforgettable holidays at sea.

Beetlejuice is a fast, safe, and solid sailing yacht. The Beneteau First 32 is well known for its strong construction while still delivering excellent sailing performance. More than once, we left much newer boats behind.

The boat is fully equipped for both single-handed sailing and extended liveaboard cruising. All sail controls can be operated directly from the cockpit.

A complete and detailed VAT payment record is included. The boat was imported from Switzerland to Greece in the early 2000s, and all import documentation is available. Although nobody ever asked us for it, this was an important factor for us when purchasing the boat.

Many high-quality upgrades have been completed over the years.

Some of the major upgrades include:

  • Electric Lewmar anchor windlass
  • Bamar in-mast furling mainsail system
  • 250 litres of fresh water capacity
  • Victron battery management system (BMS)
  • New AIS transceiver
  • New liferaft (purchased approx. 8 months ago for €1,200)
  • Lewmar two-speed winches
  • 150 W solar panel plus 60 W foldable solar panel
  • Stern anchor with dedicated anchor locker
  • 45 m stainless steel anchor chain with a 20 kg Delta anchor
  • Second forestay for quick deployment of a storm jib
  • New dinghy (11/2025) including an older Yamaha 5 HP outboard
  • New batteries: 2 × 90 Ah service batteries and 1 × 45 Ah starter battery. The starter and service batteries each have their own alternator, making both systems completely independent—a very practical setup.

General specifications:

  • Engine: Renault Marine 27 HP diesel with freshwater cooling (two-circuit cooling system). Recently serviced and runs perfectly.
  • Sails: Two mainsails (one in fair condition that has accompanied us for the past year, and one in very good condition). Three headsails: one furling genoa, one genoa for the second forestay, and one storm jib.

Maintenance carried out recently / during the last year:

  • Complete engine service
  • New antifouling system built up with primer and hard antifouling paint
  • Interior woodwork freshly varnished
  • New mattresses
  • New exterior windows
  • New toilet hoses and seals
  • All interior lights converted to LED

Of course, this is not a brand-new boat. She has been sailed and enjoyed regularly, and we still love sailing her today. As expected for a boat of her age, you will find some cosmetic imperfections such as small paint chips or worn areas on the narrow teak trim.

Things worth mentioning:

  • The wind instrument transducer is faulty. The display and receiver work, but no signal is received from the masthead unit.
  • We relocated the anchor light to the stern because the masthead light would need replacing. This has never caused any issues during our travels through five countries and over 80 anchorages.
  • The engine tachometer is not working.

We have had an incredible time aboard Beetlejuice and have never regretted spending this chapter of our lives with her.

We are still living on the boat and are happy to arrange viewings. At the moment we are sailing north through Croatia from Zadar and will then continue towards northern Italy. Handover in that area is possible.
