Die Zee Grundel besitzt serienmäßig ein Mastlegetsystem (eine Jütteinrichtung / Mastabsenkvorrichtung). Da der Mast auf einem Bolzen im Mastschuh gelagert ist, kannst du ihn während der Fahrt mithilfe der Wanten/Taljen nach hinten umlegen.
​Wenn der Mast gelegt ist (also flach auf dem Boot bzw. der Maststütze liegt), reduziert sich deine Durchfahrtshöhe drastisch auf die Höhe des Kajütdachs bzw. der Windschutzscheibe – das sind dann meist nur noch ca. 1,60text{ bis }1,80text{ Meter} über der Wasserlinie, womit du unter fast jeder normalen Kanal- oder Flussbrücke durchkommst.

​### Important for passing under bridges
The Zee Grundel comes standard with a mast-lowering system (a jute device / mast-lowering mechanism). Since the mast is mounted on a bolt in the mast base, you can lower it backward while underway using the shrouds/tacks.
​When the mast is laid down (i.e., lying flat on the boat or the mast support), your clearance height is drastically reduced to the height of the cabin roof or windshield—which is usually only about 1.60text{ to }1.80text{ meters} above the waterline, allowing you to pass under almost any standard canal or river bridge.
