At the Norwegian Nidelv shipyard, tradition and modernity meet, go their own ways across the product range and yet ultimately merge in every single model.
A first Nidelv powerboat was built back in 1929 by Nils Nilsen. At that time, the founder of Nidelv Bétbyggeri had already been a boatbuilder for 18 years, and with the first boat built under his own direction he fulfilled a long-cherished dream of comfortable cruising and the very highest standards of craftsmanship.

Greatest success with a traditional trawler

Until the 1970s, Nidelv Båtbyggeri built exclusively "classics" with a double-ended canoe stern. In the mid-1960s, the first fiberglass boats were built at the shipyard in Asdal; in 1968 the first Nidelv 24 was launched – a small family trawler with a canoe stern that would go on to become the greatest success in Norwegian leisure boating history. The last "24" was delivered in 2001 and carried production number 3013.

To this day, these comfortable trawlers, built to traditional lines and each equipped with the technology of its time, still enjoy great collector appeal on the used boat market.

Never losing sight of the future

Yet for all its love of tradition, Nidelv Båtbyggeri has not ignored the call of the modern era. For several decades, the shipyard has been building high-quality sport boats with solid craftsmanship that – whatever the version and size class – rank among the best the Scandinavian market has to offer in terms of speed, handling, design and build quality.
