De Barkas “Scyllius” is een robuust en karaktervol stalen motorjacht, gebouwd naar ontwerp van Jachtarchitect Huitema. Met haar multi-knikspantromp en praktische afmetingen is dit schip geschikt voor comfortabel varen op binnenwateren en kustgebieden.
In 2023 is het schip gestraald en opnieuw opgebouwd in een tweecomponenten verfsysteem, inclusief antifouling, wat zorgt voor een nette en duurzame basis. De techniek is degelijk uitgevoerd met een Lister Marine 55 PK dieselmotor met weinig draaiuren (ca. 685 uur), hydraulische besturing en een Python schroefasopstelling.
Het interieur is uitgevoerd in massief eikenhout en grotendeels aanwezig, maar dient nog deels te worden afgemaakt. Dit biedt de mogelijkheid om het schip naar eigen wens verder af te bouwen. De indeling is praktisch met een salon, twee hutten en in totaal vier slaapplaatsen. De kombuis is voorzien van een gaskooktoestel en koelkast. De natte cel beschikt over toilet en wastafel; douchen kan via de buitendouche.
De Barkas beschikt over een ruime kuip met aluminium tranenplaat, RVS zwemplateau, klapbare houten mast en een recente kuiptent (2024). Ook is er een wintertent aanwezig.
Een degelijk schip met recent groot onderhoud en goede techniek, dat zich uitstekend leent voor de liefhebber die een motorjacht naar eigen inzicht verder wil afwerken.

In 2023, the vessel was sandblasted and repainted using a two-component paint system, including antifouling, providing a clean and durable finish. The mechanical systems are solidly built, featuring a Lister Marine 55 PK diesel engine with low operating hours (approx. 685 hours), hydraulic steering, and a Python propeller shaft assembly.
The interior is finished in solid oak and is largely intact, though some finishing touches are still needed. This offers the opportunity to complete the boat’s interior according to your own preferences. The layout is practical, featuring a salon, two cabins, and a total of four berths. The galley is equipped with a gas stove and a refrigerator. The bathroom has a toilet and sink; showering is possible via the outdoor shower.
The Barkas features a spacious cockpit with aluminum checker plate, a stainless steel swim platform, a folding wooden mast, and a recent cockpit cover (2024). A winter cover is also included.
