Konstruktionen er dansk, idet Arne Borghegn siden 1992 har leveret tegninger til Askeladden.
Askeladden 645 Beetlen har en gennemført finish og særlig elegance, der på en lidt uretfærdig måde dækker over, at den også er en robust båd, som kan klare et stort anvendelsesområde. Beetlen er solidt bygget med en omhyggelig skrogkonstruktion, hvor skroget, dets bundstokke - der er langsgående i en speedbåd - samt den konstruktion, der bærer hele interiøret fra for til agter, er føjet sammen til en helhed, som giver skroget stor stivhed. Samtidig er der ikke sparet på glasfiberen, så Beetlen kommer ud med en totalvægt på omkring 1600 kg.

Kahyt med 2 sovepladser - der kan lægges plade/madras til fuld seng. Kemisk toilet under midterhynden.

The Askeladden 645 Beetlen features a refined finish and distinctive elegance that, somewhat unfairly, masks the fact that it is also a robust boat capable of handling a wide range of uses. The Beetlen is solidly built with a meticulous hull construction, where the hull, its floor timbers—which run longitudinally in a speedboat —as well as the structure that supports the entire interior from bow to stern—are joined together into a single unit, giving the hull great rigidity. At the same time, no expense was spared on the fiberglass, so the Beetlen comes in at a total weight of around 1,600 kg.

Cabin with 2 berths—which can be converted into a full bed with a mattress. Chemical toilet under the center bench.
