Due to my crew’s advancing age and declining health, we feel that others should have the pleasure of enjoying this lovely boat.
36 feet—a Dutch-built steel boat—a 1978 Marathon 1000, with only two owners (the first owner had it built in 1978, and the current owner picked it up in the Netherlands in 2004)
The boat is exceptionally well-suited for canal cruising, which is what it was built for, as well as for cruising in coastal areas ⚓️⚓️
The boat has been out of the water every fall through spring and has had its hull coated, etc.
There is teak decking throughout the boat.

2009/2010 brand-new Iveco NEF 150 hk 6-cyl. marine diesel engine, with a newly installed box cooler and water-cooled exhaust system, new PMF marine gearbox, 40 mm stainless steel propeller shaft, and 4-bladed bronze propeller; 2 x 250-liter steel diesel tanks
2008 new double-acting Sidepower - ST 75 bow thruster.
2013 / 2014 hull sandblasted and coated with 6 coats of Hempel Light primer.
Most of the electrical system was replaced in 2010 and 2023.
2016: New toilet and wastewater system.
2017: New fiberglass water tank, approx. 400 liters.
