Generally in good condition for her age, with some wear and a few minor repairs currently being completed by the yard.
The centre cockpit, fixed spray hood and comfortable motion at sea make her a capable cruising boat. The beautiful Najad woodwork gives the interior a warm character, complemented by renewed upholstery.
The teak deck, from around 2005, remains in good condition. It is glued rather than screwed down, avoiding numerous deck penetrations.
Sails in good used condition:
- In mast furling mainsail
- Roller furling genoa
- Working jib on removable inner forestay
This arrangement is ideal for short handed or single handed sailing. The inner working jib, with its more central sheeting position, improves upwind sailing in strong wind.
- Large Furuno chartplotter and radar
- Icom Class B AIS transceiver
- Powerful hydraulic autopilot
- Powerful Vetus bow thruster
- Twin engine alternators
- Tender with outboard
- Selection of spares and tools.
In 2023, Nemesis suffered rudder damage following an orca attack. Further damage of port side hull occurred while ashore at Soremar Marina Yard in Tangier, where she remained during a lengthy insurance dispute. Repairs were then professionally carried out under external surveyor supervision.
I recently sailed her from Tangier to Rota, Spain, where she is now ashore for minor outstanding repairs.
Viewing
Available for viewing at Puerto de Rota boatyard, near Cádiz, from mid November 2026.
The yard can arrange viewings and will provide you a full independent survey, which I have asked them to do.
