Built by Jeanneau and launched in 1989, the Sun Legend 41 remains one of the French yard's benchmarks for long-distance cruising. This 12.35 m yacht, flagged in FRANCE, has a clear purpose: covering miles safely with up to 8 people aboard, backed by recently updated equipment. Price: €52,000 VAT paid.
Construction and seakeeping
GRP - fibreglass hull, 12.35 m length and 3.94 m beam: slender proportions that explain the Sun Legend's seagoing character. The standing rigging was renewed in 2025 and completed with a removable inner forestay, while the sail wardrobe includes a fully battened mainsail and genoa from 2022, plus a staysail from 2025. A category A design, built for offshore passages.
Engine and accommodation
Power comes from a PERKINS PRIMA M50 diesel on shaft drive, with 4,400 hours, for a 6-knot cruising speed and 2 l/h consumption. Tankage of 150 litres of fuel and 270 litres of water, backed by a watermaker, supports real autonomy. Below, 3 cabins and 7 berths (2 cabins listed) accommodate up to 8 people.
