XBOAT ref :378.
I am selling my WAUQUIEZ HOOD 38 sailboat from 1984, it is the second version MK2.
It is a sloop rig, built with thick polyester resin, it's a very solid boat!
I am the third owner, I am selling it reluctantly due to health reasons, I have enjoyed sailing for 14 years in the Brittany waters, Gascony with annual trips to Spain, Scotland, Ireland, Cornwall...
It is very comfortable with its 2 cabins, a large living space in the saloon, which can be transformed into a 2-person berth, there is forced air heating, hot water under pressure, 2 toilets one equipped with a black water tank (never used), a complete kitchen with worktop, double sink, gas cooker with oven, microwave, the sound system with speakers inside and outside.

It is a robust and very comfortable boat. Built between 1978 and 1989 in 179 units.

It is not easy to combine qualities often contradictory such as comfort and performance and add aesthetics.

The Hood 38 is beautiful. Ted Hood, its architect, knew how to give it elegance and class. Because part of the pleasure of owning a boat is simply looking at it.

The Hood 38 is comfortable. Its interior volume is perhaps the largest of all boats of this type and the teak, used profusely, gives the fittings a refined luxury. It is great comfort for happy cruises, from cove to cove thanks to the lifting keel.

The Hood 38 is fast. Ted Hood is like us: he loves boats that move! Thanks to his immense experience, the Hood 38 gives you great pleasure at the helm. Comfortably installed behind the steering wheel, eleven meters sixty of deck in front of you, you go up to windward at less than 30° of apparent wind. On the running tacks, with the centerboard up, you achieve surprising averages.
