The Gobbi shipyard was acquired by the Azimut-Benetti Group in 2001. This acquisition brought about significant changes in the structure of both brands: The creation of Atlantis Yachts—following the Azimut-Benetti Group's purchase of the Gobbi shipyard, its existing production operations served as the foundation for a new luxury brand of open-style sports yachts named Atlantis. During a brief transitional period, some yachts bore dual branding (e.g., Gobbi 47 Atlantis). After a few years, the Gobbi brand was completely phased out in favor of the standalone Atlantis Yachts brand. Integration with Azimut: the Atlantis line is now an official and integral series of sports yachts within the Azimut Yachts portfolio.

De Gobbi-scheepswerf werd in 2001 overgenomen door de Azimut-Benetti Group. Deze overname bracht ingrijpende veranderingen teweeg in de structuur van beide merken: de oprichting van Atlantis Yachts — na de aankoop van de Gobbi-scheepswerf door de Azimut-Benetti-groep dienden de bestaande productieactiviteiten als basis voor een nieuw luxemerk van open sportjachten met de naam Atlantis. Tijdens een korte overgangsperiode droegen sommige jachten een dubbele merknaam (bijv. Gobbi 47 Atlantis). Na enkele jaren werd het merk Gobbi volledig afgebouwd ten gunste van het zelfstandige merk Atlantis Yachts. Integratie met Azimut: de Atlantis-lijn is nu een officiële en integrale serie sportjachten binnen het portfolio van Azimut Yachts.
