(ENG) Sailing Yacht "Kris-Kras" for Sale

The "Kris-Kras" is a flame-sprayed, zinc-aluminium-coated Corten steel, round-bilge long-keeler (not a full S-frame), designed by Joop Sterkman and built by the De Boer shipyard in Sliedrecht (NL) in 1957. The entire vessel is constructed from Corten steel and was fully flame-sprayed with zinc-aluminum after construction. As a result, the yacht is rust-free both inside and out, making her exceptionally low-maintenance. This is a unique feature for a vessel over 60 years old; a true testament to durability.

Propulsion & Sails
For propulsion, the Kris-Kras features almost new sails (Hagoort 2023), consisting of a mainsail, self-tacking jib, and furling genoa. The storm jib is older but remains in mint condition.

Furthermore, the yacht is equipped with a reliable Yanmar 2GM20 diesel engine featuring a keel cooling system. Consequently, winterizing the cooling system is unnecessary, and cooling issues caused by contaminated raw water are non-existent on the Kris-Kras. The propeller shaft runs in bronze bearings and is grease-lubricated.

Equipment & Comfort
The Kris-Kras comes fully equipped with all the essentials for comfortable traveling and onboard living, including:
• Navigation & Electronics: Depth sounder, log, Sestrel Moore compass, Victron battery monitor, PC-Nautic autopilot (can also be operated via tablet), Em-trak AIS, GPS, Sailtron VHF radio, Cobra waterproof handheld VHF, and an Echomax radar reflector.
• Deck & Safety: 15 kg Rocna anchor, new 2x Andersen self-tailing winches, automatic bilge pump, manual bilge pump, water and gas detection system, automatic life jackets, and emergency flares.
• Galley & Interior: Waeco cooling drawer, Eno gas stove, separate vented gas locker, Taylors 79d diesel heater, heavy-duty metal and ceramic marine underwater toilet, wardrobe, removable backrests in the saloon to create extra berths, and lee cloths.
• Extra: Numerous spare parts and maintenance supplies.

Maintenance & upgrades
The vessel has been in my possession since 2012. In addition to making fantastic voyages both domestically and abroad, the yacht and her systems have been meticulously maintained. Various components have been renewed and upgraded while preserving her classic character. Below is a brief overview of recent updates:

• 2015: Maintenance and painting of the hull and underwater hull / Installation of engine-propeller shaft vibration damper
• 2016: New mast and rigging accessories (VMG Soromap)
• 2020: Maintenance and painting of the superstructure and woodwork
• 2021: Maintenance and painting of the hull and underwater hull / Propeller balanced and aligned by Jooren Scheepsschroeven
• 2022: Installation of PC-Nautic autopilot / Maintenance and painting of the deck
• 2023: Installation of Em-trak AIS transceiver / New, thicker standing rigging, turnbuckles, furler, and accessories / New Hagoort Sails (mainsail, self-tacking jib, and genoa) / New original Yanmar alternator and fuel lift pump
• 2024: New Varta AGM batteries

In addition to the list above, annual maintenance has been performed on the engine and all other required systems.

The Kris-Kras is a yacht with a good story and a fully known history. I am currently the third owner.

The Kris-Kras has recently returned from a "mini-Atlantic tour," having sailed the Iberian coast, Madeira, and the Azores.

(NL) Zeiljacht Kris-Kras is te koop.

De Kris-Kras is een geschopeerde Cortenstalen rondspant langkieler (geen volle s-spant ), ontworpen door Joop Sterkman en gebouwd bij firma De Boer te Sliedrecht in 1957. Het gehele schip is vervaardigd van Cortenstaal en na de bouw geheel geschopeerd. Hierdoor is het schip zowel van binnen als buiten eigenlijk geheel roestvrij en betrekkelijk onderhoudsarm. Uniek voor een schip van ruim 60 jaar oud; duurzaamheid ten voeten uit.

Afmetingen 8.5 x 2.55 x 1.4. Stahoogte max 180 cm.

Ter voorstuwing beschikt de Kris-Kras over een nieuwe zeilgarderobe (Hagoort 2023) bestaande uit een grootzeil, keerfok en rolgenua. De stormfok is ouder maar in nieuwstaat. Daarnaast is er en een goede Yanmar 2GM20 dieselmotor met kielkoeling aanwezig. Winterklaar maken van het koelsysteem is dus overbodig en koelproblemen door vervuild buitenwater zijn op de Kris-Kras non-existent. De schroefas draait in bronzen lagers en is vetgesmeerd (zonder vetkoort).

De Kris-Kras beschikt verder over een basisuitrusting om comfortabel te reizen en aan boord te verblijven, waaronder: dieptemeter, log, Sestrel moore kompas, Victron batterymonitor, pc-nautic autopilot (ook bedienbaar vanaf de tablet), em-trak AIS, GPS, Sailtron marifoon, Cobra waterdichte portofoon, 15kg Rocna anker, Waeco koellade, Eno gasstel, separate gasbun met ontluchting, Taylors 79d dieselkachel, heavy duty onderwatertoilet van metaal en keramiek, hangkast, wegneembare rugleuningen in de salon voor extra slaapgelegenheid, slingerzeilen, automatische bilgepomp, handlenspomp, water- en gasdetectiesysteem, automatische reddingsvesten, noodvuurwerk, vele reserveonderdelen, onderhoudsmiddelen etc.

Het is schip is sinds 2012 in mijn bezit en naast dat ermee fantastische reizen in binnen- en buitenland zijn gemaakt is ook altijd goed toegezien op het onderhoud van het schip en haar installaties. Daarnaast zijn verscheidene zaken vernieuwd en gemoderniseerd met behoud van het klassieke karakter. Onderstaand een beknopt overzicht:

Naast het bovenstaande is uiteraard ook jaarlijks onderhoud verricht aan de scheepsmotor en andere zaken die dat vergen. Los van de aankoop, is er sinds 2012 meer dan € 28.000,- euro in het schip geïnvesteerd. De Kris-Kras is een schip met een goed verhaal en haar historie is bekend. Ik ben de derde eigenaar.

Het schip is net terug van een “klein rondje Atlantic”: Iberische kust, Madeira, Azoren.

Als je opzoek bent naar een duurzaam, sterk en betrouwbaar schip met een - ondanks haar beperkte formaat - prettige en veilige zeegang, dan is de Kris-Kras zeer geschikt.
