The Oceanis 38.1 builds on the strengths of the original Oceanis 38, but introduces a series of smart improvements that make it more comfortable, more practical, and better suited for modern cruising. While it retains the same proven hull shape and easy‑handling sailing characteristics of the 38, the 38.1 features a redesigned interior that significantly enhances onboard living.

The most notable upgrade is the new forward cabin layout: unlike the Oceanis 38’s open, loft‑style concept with a removable bulkhead, the 38.1 offers a fixed bulkhead and elegant double doors, giving the owner’s cabin far more privacy and a more traditional cabin feel. The saloon has also been reconfigured, replacing the 38’s linear galley with an optional L‑shaped galley, which improves movement on board and creates additional seating for up to eight people. Storage, ergonomics, and the chart table have all been optimized, making the interior brighter, more functional, and better organized than its predecessor.

On deck, the Oceanis 38.1 keeps the same enjoyable sailing experience as the 38—stable, responsive, and easy to manage—while offering refined cockpit ergonomics and updated customization options. The result is a yacht that preserves the freedom and versatility of the Oceanis 38, but with a more mature layout, improved comfort, and smarter use of space.
