The boat is from the end of 1980-s year produced by Windy Scandinavia AB, and I have bought it from a private person from Switzerland in 2019. The 2 petrol mercruiser engines of the original boat were totally irreparable.
During 2019 and 2020 we have totally renovated and refurbished it inside and outside as well professionally.

All rebuilt and refurbished to the smallest details according to the expectations of the 21st century but still in the classic style of Windy 27. Equipped with the most modern 300 horsepower compressor and turbocharged Volvo Penta D4-300 diesel engine, driven by Volvo DPHD double-screw transmission. Cruising speed of 40 km/h with an average fuel consumption of 15-25 litres, depends on the speed and weight on board. Top speed is 55 km/h.
The Volvo Penta Engines are 4 cylinder turbo and compressor charged mechanical engines built to a commercial spec. Together with the fitting of the engines, all associated components were brand new. Components included engine mounts, gearboxes, exhaust system, fuel system, Volvo pentra diesel oil pre-filter, Volvo Penta water cooling exhaust system, Volvo Penta dashboard with all gadgets, Volvo Penta DPHD1 Dual bronze prop system (G5)

Driver and steering
Side-power front steering
Fully hydraulic power-assisted steering system. Electrical shifting performed by electronic actuator. Built-in kickup function to reduce possible damage in the event the drive strikes underwater objects. Fully integrated water in let and exhaust system. Isolated propellers to prevent corrosion.

Hull Exterior
The hull was found in a perfect shape, but to avoid any future damage we decided to stripped to fiberglass, repainted with Polyester top coat, underwater part repainted with International VC Tar2 epoxy system (teflon antifouling) in 2 layers. Finished on the exterior in RAL7012 Riva Grey colour combined with white pearl colour. The deck surfaces are covered with a nonslip coating. The whole hull is scratch-free.


Hull Interior
The interior was stripped to fiberglass, repainted with Polyester top coat. The engine compartment received sound insulation, 2 bottom water pump, 1 smartwater sensor which can send signal to handyphone via wifi. In case of electronical shortcut there is a manual bilge water pump as well. There are 3 smartwater wifi sensors in the interior: 1* engine compartment, 1* power side steering, 1*at the deepest point of the hull interior.

Interior
The interior of Windy 27 was basically in place, the carcasses were all present and sound, but in need of some hard work to turn them back into the finish that they should be. We decided to refurbish all but keep the original style and colours.

The Saloon retained the original seat bases and cubby holes, all other wood work was repaired where needed and repainted/varnished. Additional storage can be found in the lockers under the seats and also behind the seat backs.

New cushions and covers in Martindale material were made, including an infill to turn the seating into a double bed for a cosy night.
All windows had been removed and changed to brand new ones.
All curtains has been changed to brand new ones.

New individual sized water tanks were added under the forepeak: 1*200 l. for fresh water; 1*200 l for used one. All water outflow can be changed to direct outflow.
All new LED Lighting s – original Windy ceiling spots and reading light supplied by Osculati
USB sockets and voltage display were also added.
1000W Alpine hifi system

The toilet has been removed as well and changed to a brand new Jabsco manual toilet. The water outflow can be changed to direct outflow as well.

On Deck
All of the original deck hardware was removed and replaced to brand new ones.
The cockpit area was refurbished and surface is covered by UV protected and water resistant floor, with strengthening added as required.
Bimini and cockpit enclosure was added for protection from the sun, wind and rain. It can all be removed and the hoops folded down to the windshield for those sunny 'open top' days.

The galley also placed on the deck, under the bimini with a double gas burner, stainless sink with cold running water. We have installed a Karlstein Fridge as well. There are some storage cupboards as well. This part can be also covered with stainless steel and cushion and turn it to a sitting place

At the back of the deck we have installed a „club-corner” for 6 pax comfortably. All cushions are covered by beige colour UV protected and washable Marine leather. There are 2 tables, 1 of those can be easily removable at any time and store it in the captain’s cabin .

On the top of the cabin/saloon, right in front of the cockpit windscreen you can find a 2m*2m „sunterrace” covered by beige colour UV protected and washable Marine leather mattresses.

Shower is available at the end of the deck.

The yacht is located now in Budapest in a guarded garage, in case of real interest we have to make an appointment to place it on water (Danube).
