1980 Comar Comet 850, EUR 14.000,-

The Comet 850 is a perfect choice for recreational and novice sailors. Built by the renowned shipyard Comar Yachts, this boat is known for its excellent sailing characteristics. Thanks to the user-friendly design, the Comet can be sailed with a small crew. The cockpit is spacious enough to seat 4 people. The draft of 1.60m and fin keel with 1100 kg ballast ensure optimum stability. All lines are operated from the cockpit. The sail quiver is complete with De Jong Sails battened mainsail (2018), M-Sails genoa (2009), High Aspect (2008) and a spinnaker. The headsails are easy to trim with the Selden Furlex roller reefing system. The deck is equipped with treadmaster anti-slip. The navigation equipment includes a VHF radio, compass, depth meter, GPS and autopilot. The Vetus 16 hp diesel engine was newly installed in 2005.

The cabin has a good headroom of 1.85m due to the omission of a raised floor. The settee benches are comfortable and can be used as extra berths. The wooden table can be folded in and out. Smart design solutions ensure optimum use of the available space, such as the fold-away chart table and the worktop for the galley. In addition to the 220V sockets, there are also handy 12V USB connections. Behind the navigation table is a deep single berth, ideal for storage or as a single berth. The galley is equipped with a sink, Origo alcohol stove, cool box and sufficient cupboard space. In the forepeak is a V-bed with infill. The escape hatch has been renewed very recently. Between the cabin and forepeak there is a toilet room with chemical toilet on the port side and a washbasin on the starboard side. This space can be closed off for privacy with sliding doors. Both the galley and the washbasin have cold running water via an electric pump.
