The dinghy cruiser Mücke II was built in 1967 in the VB Yachtwerft Berlin and is a real eye-catcher, vintage car and boat enthusiast.
The boat made of high quality mahogany has been completely refurbished or renovated with great attention to detail. The renovation work was carried out as follows:
The hull was reinforced with epoxy below the waterline. The hull was coated with very thin fiberglass and epoxy above the waterline. To protect epoxy against UV rays, a 2K PUR clear lacquer was applied. The deck has also been edited this way.
Not all of the old copper screws could be removed during the renovation. In the places where it was possible, a total of 1500 A2 screws were used and these were covered with wooden covers.
After a year, the hull has regained its curves. The cabin has been completely renovated. The roof of the cabin used to be coated with tar. The old strips were replaced with new ones.
The roof was reinforced with fiberglass and epoxy and then coated with white 2K PUR paint.
The sails are old. The sails can be seen very well in the photos. The condition of the sails is classified according to age. The boat also has a spinnaker.
Despite the advanced age, regats were won with this boat.
To protect the boat, I had a gray tarpaulin made. The front of the boat has a genuaroll reef.
You can find all technical data in the appendix. The boat is in a sailing club near Paris on the banks of the Marne. Due to its great condition, the boat was used for a film documentary on the subject of "Leisure activities around Paris".
Original measurement certificate (including technical data) available.
