Sweden 42 - Inspiration. At the time of build, Sweden Yachts boldly stated the Sweden 42 to be probably "the best-sailing 42 footer ever built". This is a serious yacht with an impeccable pedigree and a scintillating combination of comfort, performance and un-disputed safe and solid sea-keeping characteristics. Inspiration has certainly seen plenty of blue water, however she has always been carefully maintained and benefits from recent replacement North sails and standing rigging and a new sail drive diaphram seal.Part exchanges can be consideredYacht InformationBoat Name: INSPIRATIONYear: 2005Builder: Sweden YachtsDesigner: Peter Norlin / Jens OstmannEngine: Volvo Penta D2Location: Swanwick MarinaDimensionsLOA: 43 ft 4 in / 13.25mLWL: 36 ft 8 in / 11.22mBeam: 12 ft 8 in / 3.90mDraft: 6 ft 8 in / 2.10mDisplacement: 10,000kgBallast 4,030kgEngineEngine: Volo Penta D2 (2007)55 hp dieselSail drive (new sail drive seal 2018)Tankage:Fuel capacity: 280 litresWater capacity: 425 litresSystemsEberspacher heatingHot water systemShore powerBattery chargerSailsMain sail (North - new 2017)Genoa (North - new 2017)Deck EquipmentKeel stepped mastStanding rigging replaced 2015Rope jammers in cockpitHeadsail furling gearTeak decks and cockpitWheel steeringTransom showerSprayhoodSpinnaker poleAdjustable backstayDomestic InventoryNew Upholstery in saloon and at chart table 20192 x aft cabinsForward cabin with 2 bunks port and 2 bunks starboardAft headsForward headsSaloon tableNavigation stationGalley with cooker and fridge2 burner Voyager 4500 stove with ovenNavigation EquipmentNavigation lights port & starboardStern light, Tri colourAnchor light, bow lightsRaymarine Multi at navigation station and in cockpit:Speed log and depth, wind speed and directionRaymarine Hybrid Touch Plotter, GPS, RadarRaymarine Ray240E VHFSeame radar reflectorCompass with lightAdditional InformationLiferaft mounted on coachroof (service due October 2019)Lifebuoys on pushpitDanbuoy on pushpitFenders/warpsDirections to Sea Ventures SwanwickBy Car from M27 coming from the West:Leave M27 at junction 8, and turn right at the roundabout at the bottom of the slip road, signposted Hamble A3024At the next (Tesco) roundabout, take the 1st exit onto A27/Providence HillContinue for about 1.0 mile then turn right into Swanwick Marina at traffic lights.By Car from M27 coming from the East:Leave M27 at junction 9, and turn left at the roundabout at end of slip roadTurn right at next roundabout, signposted Hamble A27Continue along A27 for about 3 miles, turn left into Swanwick Marina at traffic lights.
