This Formosa 51 was built by the Formosa Boat Building Company, LTD, in 1979 in Taipei, Taiwan.

Large saloon with seating around table for six and another 3-4 on starboard side. From the corridor between saloon and aft cabin on the left side there is an extra walkable engine room with work bench, neon light and bull's eye. A pilot berth on the right side of the corridor. The aft cabin is a double en-suite with extra portholes and a sit-up bath with shower and WC. Further ahead is the fore cabin which has one double with one single berth over it, there is also a connecting door to the WC with shower possibility. Pantry is extra compartment with a bar counter next to the saloon. There are 47 drawers and 2 wardrobes. There is a deck house on the aft deck. Two deck chairs with a folding table, which can be expanded in front of a bench at the middle of the deck.
The hull is made of 5cm thick fiberglass and the decks are sandwich construction. 30 sqm teak decks (18 mm) from best Burma teak wood were renewed in 2003.
For the interior solid teak has been re-varnished with Coelan.
The engine is a Ford Lehman six-cylinder 120hp diesel with a Borg Warner 2.5 : 2.1 gearbox which drives a three-blade prop, it is regularly serviced. The working hours are 1900 hrs. Cruising speed under engine is around 6kn with a max 9kn.
This is a cutter headed ketch, the masts are made of box section wood, the Genoa is furling and the main has slab reefing. In 2017 main mast was taken down and re-built completely.

This fine vessel comes with a very large inventory, too much to list. There are sun awnings, tender with outboard, Davits and an abundance of other equipment. All paintwork was redone with International color in 2004.
The current owner has owned the boat since she was two years old and is only the second owner since new. She has been lovingly kept and upgraded over the years and seems in good condition. The boat has been in the Mediterranean all her life and done mostly short cruises.
