The Trismus 37 has been professionally built at the Chantier Naval shipyard in Vilvoorde, Belgium. The swingkeel provides a variable draft, so that the sailing area is almost unlimited. The sailing yacht can also fall dry on her box keel of 60 cm wide. The sword is operated with a hand winch in the cabin. A second smaller sword ensures optimal course stability and can be operated in the cockpit. The steering wheel is equipped with a hydraulic transmission to the transom attached rudder. There is a lot of space on deck for sail handling and is fitted with anti-slip mats. The spacious cockpit can be covered with a cockpit tent or Bimini. Cockpit seats, floor and bridge deck are finished with teak. The sheets are operated from the cockpit with the self-tailing winches. The mainsail is trimmed with the traveler. The fixed sprayhood with plexiglass windows provides shelter for the crew with optimal forward visibility. Navigation equipment, such as a chart plotter and autopilot control, is placed under the sprayhood. The 37 hp Nanni diesel engine was newly fitted in 2001. An electric bow thruster and anchor winch are also included in the equipment.

The interior has been professionally constructed with stylish woodwork. The interior layout is practical with ample storage space. Next to the companionway entrance is the aft cabin with a double bed on the port side. On the starboard side is a Heads with hand pump toilet, waste water tank and sink. There is space for hanging wet sailing clothes as well. At portside is a fully equipped galley, with double sink, gimballed stove with oven and compressor coolbox. A boiler provides hot running water. The sword casing is well integrated with the galley and forms no obstacle. On the starboard side is a chart table with a seat, switch panel and equipment, such as a radio / CD player, VHF radio and heating thermostat. Forward is the seating with wooden table and comfortable benches. The settee can be used as extra sleeping places. In the front is a spacious V-bed which can be separated by a curtain. Various hatches and portholes provide sufficient ventilation.
