This solidly built and well-maintained Bowman 46 was designed by Holman & Pye, which means a guarantee of safe, reliable and comfortable sailing properties in all types of weather: A real ? and beautiful Blue Water Cruiser. With a modern underwater hull with fin keel (lead) , finn rudder and longitudinal stringers throughout the hull for rigidity, fast cruising sailing is also ensured, even in light weather. The deck and hull are in sandwiches, but from the waterline down in solid fiberglass.
Connoisseurs of classic hull lines will appreciate the long, harmonious hull lines, the fine jump and not least the large, flat deck, which is first broken behind the continuous mast by the low, nicely curved and discreet ruff: Here you can talk about clean, work-friendly foreship deck. Deck hatches and dorados provide light and fresh air to the cabins and salon. The center cockpit is spacy, also because the mainsail extension is deftly brought out of the way on the aft roof of the aft cabin. There is a spacious coffin bench in the backboard side and beautifully laminated rudder.
Below deck the owner's cabin is located in the stern's wide cabin with double berth and its own large toilet room. Access to this is either from the cockpit, or via an aisle, which has large lockers. The first part of the main salon has a pantry at backboard, designed in sharp U-shape, so the chef at sea is secured with fixtures to three sides. Centrally located is the large table with u-sofa for bb and longitudinal sofa opposite. - The passage contains full-length cupboards for sb and access to another large toilet room for bb, after which the front cabin with two single berths in v-shape ends. The covers on all cushions are a few years old, and there are new tabletops with new sinks in the pantry and both toilets, just as all mixer taps have been replaced. - All woodwork is well maintained, and there is plenty of cabinets, shelves and storage space everywhere, from front to aft.
This Bowman has only had two owners, and in recent years there has been massive investment with the replacement of teak deck, engine, sail, mast, rig, outboard engine and instruments that the new owner can enjoy for many years to come.
There are not many similar classic sea cruisers with such a harmonious, fine expression and in such good condition - definitely worth a visit.
The boat can be inspected in East Jutland. Feel free to call Yacht Basen for further information or an appointment for a visit.
